Incomprehensible

I don't care what your position is regarding the war. You have a right be either pro or against, and you have a right to voice your opinion.

What you don't have is the right to attack the military over a war that was not their decision, nor is it their fault. And these people say they support troops? Please. More and more these antiwar protests are becoming anti-military protests. Our military is a good, brave, solid group of men and women that do not deserve to be blames for something on which they had no bearing. But what else can you expect from the likes of Code Pink.

Grow up people. Either be honest about your opinions - that you hate the military - or go protest against the correct people. In the meantime, learn that while the First Ammendment protects your right to free speech, in doesn't protect you against irresponsible use of it.

Iraq and Election 2008

There might be a new agreement in place by July, that would pretty much render the Iraq war as a non-issue in the Election 2008 race. If this happens, I wonder how the Democrats will differentiate themselves from the Republicans - given that a large chunk of their platform is based on the Iraq war - since the agreement will not be "breachable".

While this probably will not sway Democrat voters, it might have an effect on independents. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Call it Bush's last coup de grace.

Another NFL Marine heading to Iraq

The Iraq Was has turned it's four year anniversary. I've been wanting to write my views on this, but time has not been on my side. In the meantime I give you this:
"The way I look at it, we're spreading freedom, and you have to support the troops and you have to support the war," Staat, 29, told KITV in Honolulu on Tuesday as he prepared to leave from Hawaii. "You can't just tell some Marine who just lost his buddy that we supported you but not the war, because in that case you're basically saying that Marine, his buddy, just died for nothing. We're one team."
Emphasis on the Last sentence is mine. I couldn't agree with him more. Some of you will think him foolish; personally I think he is brave, courageous and a true hero. He is willing to go fight for the freedom of others and to help his countrymen in the service. It doesn't get anymore selfless than that.
