Rafters reach Little Cayman

This is a raft, or a balsa. As you can see it is very basic, rudimentary and built by hand with pieces of wood and drums for flotation purposes. Imagine traveling 90 miles, a la deriva on this thing.

Well, that is exactly what seven Cubans did as they fled Cuba and landed on Little Cayman island, on this dilapidated raft which locas say it is the worst one they've ever seen. Read the whole story here.
