Searching for Freedom at all costs

Since the beginning of the year there has been an increase of balseros leaving Cuba; yes leaving, since the rafts only go one way and that is away from the Bearded Stooge and to freedom. This increase has been seen not only in the Florida straits, but also by the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Cayman Islands and the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.

Unfortunately, these dry feet on non-US soil get repatriated. Yesterday we saw the abuse of the Bahamian police against not only a group of refugees but also against members of the press. Well it seems that the Cubans want to keep their travels one way, away from the island of Cuba. Today, eight Cubans detained in México, waited for the change of the guards and escaped. This is the second group of Cuban refugees that escapes while detained in México. You have to hand it to la ingeniosidad cubana. It seems nothing, absolutely nothing, will stop them in keeping their travels ONE WAY.
