As a percussionist aficionado, and having been born and raised in Puerto Rico, I couldn't let this pass.

A great "conguero" and "percusionista" has been lost, Ray Barreto "el rey the las manos duras" passed away yesterday at 76 years of age, after a complicated bypass operation.

He will be greatly missed. Descansa en paz Ray, and thank you for sharing your talent with us.
